About Amanda M.

Amanda M. Fields built her path to law in the Midwest. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2010. She went on to Creighton University School of Law and received her J.D. in 2013.

She began her legal career the same year she finished law school, joining Kittelsen Law Office as an associate. That role gave her early courtroom and client-facing experience. In 2019 she became a partner at Schluesche Fields S.C., a small firm where she has taken on greater management and advisory responsibilities.

Fields has been active in local and practice-focused groups. She served as president of the Green County Bar Association, a role that placed her in regular contact with county judges and local practitioners. She joined Elder Counsel in 2019 and remains a member. Elder Counsel is an organization that supports attorneys who work on issues affecting older adults and long-term care, and that association informs much of her professional network.

Colleagues describe her as steady in litigation settings and practical in client meetings. She brings procedural steadiness to matters that require both paperwork and negotiation. Over time she has balanced courtroom work with transactional tasks, advising clients, preparing documents and guiding families through probate and guardianship processes.

At Schluesche Fields S.C., Fields handles a mix of matters typical for a generalist in a county practice, while also drawing on the networks and resources that come from her Elder Counsel membership. She maintains an active role in local bar activities and in firm management. Her present practice centers on legal issues affecting older adults, estate planning and related probate matters.
