About Amanda Emmons

Amanda Emmons Persons built a foundation in languages and international business before turning to law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and German from the University of Tennessee in 1996. She completed her legal studies at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2000.

Her early legal work placed her inside the workings of the Superior Court of Cobb County. In 2000 she served in the Superior Court under the Honorable George Kreeger, gaining direct exposure to trial dockets and courtroom procedure. That experience shaped her approach to case management and courtroom preparation.

A few years later she moved into public prosecution. In 2002 she joined the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Lawyer. In that role she handled matters on behalf of the state, worked with law enforcement and litigated cases at trial. The job required quick assessment of evidence, courtroom presence and coordination with investigative teams.

She returned to private practice and, in 2008, began serving as Of Counsel at The Persons Firm, LLC. Over time she has balanced courtroom work with client advising and case strategy. Her background in court and the prosecutor’s office informs how she evaluates cases and prepares for hearings.

Persons maintains membership in the State Bar of Georgia. Her professional path reflects steady movement between public service and private practice, and an emphasis on practical courtroom skills. Colleagues point to her experience handling matters in Georgia courts and to the perspective she brings from both sides of litigation.

Outside the courtroom, her undergraduate study in German and international business suggests an interest in cross-cultural and transactional matters, though her public record centers on litigation and trial work in Georgia. She combines procedural knowledge acquired at the Superior Court with the prosecutorial perspective from the District Attorney’s Office.

She currently practices at The Persons Firm, LLC, where she represents clients in matters brought in Georgia courts.
