About Alyssa Eve
Alyssa Eve Nava graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2011. She completed her legal education at a time when Texas courts were handling a wide range of civil and criminal disputes, and she moved into practice in the state soon after. Her academic record provided the foundation for courtroom work and the procedural demands of trial practice.
Early in her career Nava served in the 34th Judicial District. In 2013 she held the title of Senior Trial Lawyer and worked as a district lawyer. Those years in the district role put her in regular contact with judges, court staff and opposing counsel. They also gave her repeated opportunities to prepare cases for trial, manage evidentiary hearings and argue motions in open court.
Her time as a district lawyer shaped how she approaches litigation. She learned to calibrate preparation to the practical pace of state court dockets. She also became adept at managing discovery, interviewing witnesses and presenting evidence under courtroom constraints. Colleagues have noted that she brings steadiness to trial calendars and to the frequent tactical decisions that arise before and during trial.
Nava is licensed to practice in Texas. Over the years she has translated her district-court experience into a broader practice that remains anchored in litigation and trial work. She has worked on matters that require familiarity with procedural rules, case management practices and the scheduling pressures common to Texas trial courts. Her background affords her a practical perspective when evaluating when to settle and when to take a case to trial.
Outside the courthouse she maintains professional contacts across the state. Her career path reflects sustained engagement in state-court practice rather than a move into academic or regulatory roles. That continuity shows in how she staffs matters and in the way she prepares case files for courtroom presentation.
Nava now practices at Nava Law Texas. Her practice continues to reflect her early years in the 34th Judicial District and her time as a Senior Trial Lawyer. She currently focuses on trial litigation in Texas state courts.
