About Alyssa D.

Alyssa D. Phillips earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2000 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Arizona in 1996. She moved from academic study into practice at a time when the legal landscape in Virginia was shifting on several fronts. The early part of her career was shaped by that environment and by the practical demands of serving clients in a state with a mix of urban and rural legal needs.

Phillips established herself in Virginia law practice soon after law school. She joined local bar groups and took on diverse matters that required familiarity with Virginia procedure and local court customs. Over time she developed steady ties to the Fauquier County legal community and broadened her professional network through the Virginia State Bar. Those memberships have been a consistent part of her public profile.

Her professional activities have combined courtroom work and file-based case management. She has worked on matters that required attention to both legal detail and practical resolution. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. Clients have relied on her for steady handling of their files.

Phillips has remained active in county and state bar circles. She holds current membership in the Virginia State Bar and in the Fauquier County Bar. That involvement has kept her connected to changes in state rules and local practice patterns. It has also offered opportunities to mentor younger lawyers and to remain engaged with the day-to-day realities of litigation and client counseling in Virginia.

Today she is based at Mark B. Williams & Associates, PLC, where she continues to serve clients in Virginia. Her practice draws on two decades of experience since law school and on a long-standing familiarity with the local courts and legal procedures. She maintains an active role in the Virginia State Bar and in the Fauquier County Bar and applies that experience to the matters she handles for people and businesses in the region.

She currently practices at Mark B. Williams & Associates, PLC, where her work centers on serving clients in Virginia.
