About Alycia M.

Alycia M. Herriott trained in Oregon and has spent her career working in public prosecution and private practice across the state. She earned a B.S. in economics from the University of Oregon in 2005 and completed her J.D. at Willamette University in 2008. Those years set the stage for a career that pivoted between county district attorney offices and law firms.

Herriott began her post-law school work in a county prosecutor’s office. In 2008 she took a position as a deputy district lawyer in Clackamas County, handling the everyday demands of misdemeanor and felony matters that come through a busy county docket. That early experience gave her frequent courtroom exposure and a steady stream of trial and hearing work.

After several years in Clackamas County, Herriott moved to Deschutes County, where she returned to a deputy district lawyer role in 2016. In Bend and the surrounding counties she handled prosecution responsibilities and participated in the local bar community. Her involvement in Deschutes extended beyond the courthouse; she joined the Deschutes County Bar Association the same year and has remained an active member.

By 2018 Herriott had shifted into private practice. She joined Gilroy Napoli Short Law Group as a lawyer, working in that firm’s Bend office and collaborating with its Salem and Portland locations. Her practice also lists an affiliation with Bend DUI Lawyers, indicating work on cases that involve impaired driving and related criminal charges. The move to private practice broadened her caseload and introduced defense-side work alongside her prosecutorial background.

Colleagues and court contacts describe Herriott as practical and steady. She has maintained ties to local legal organizations, including membership in Cascade Woman Lawyers since 2016. Those networks keep her connected to professional development and local court culture. Her path — from a county prosecutor in two different jurisdictions to a lawyer at multi-office firms — reflects a lawyer comfortable on both sides of the aisle.

As of 2026 Herriott practices in Oregon across multiple office locations, including Bend, Salem and Portland. Her work encompasses DUI defense and criminal matters handled through her affiliations with Gilroy Napoli Short and Bend DUI Lawyers, and she continues to participate in county bar activities and regional legal groups as part of her day-to-day practice focus.
