About Alvin Wolff
Alvin Wolff Jr. earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1979 after completing a bachelor’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis in 1976. He moved from classroom to courtroom at a time when both legal education and practice were undergoing notable change. The academic record shows steady preparation for a multi-decade career in the law.
He is admitted to practice in both Missouri and Colorado. After finishing law school he began a career that has extended across state lines. That work has taken him into courts and administrative settings in two distinct legal systems. Over the years he has applied the training he received in St. Louis to matters that reflect the differing rules and procedures of each jurisdiction.
Wolff’s professional life spans nearly five decades. During that time he has worked in roles that required adapting to evolving statutory schemes and shifting case law. He has handled matters that required courtroom appearances as well as out-of-court resolutions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing files and practical in assessing options for clients.
His practice has been shaped in part by the legal environments of Missouri and Colorado. Each state presents a different set of rules, and Wolff’s practice reflects the need to address both. He has represented clients in state courts and engaged with administrative processes when cases called for it. That breadth has given him experience in managing matters across jurisdictions and coordinating strategy when cases cross state borders.
Outside of casework, Wolff has maintained ties to legal communities in both regions. He has kept up with continuing education and professional contacts, attending events and meetings that are part of a long career in the profession. Those connections have helped him stay current with procedural developments and shifting local practices.
He maintains an active practice today. He currently maintains a private practice, serving clients in Colorado and Missouri.
