About Allyson Brooke
Allyson Brooke Goldscher built her legal foundation in Delaware and Maryland. She earned a B.S. from the University of Delaware in 2006, concentrating in Family and Community Services and Human Services. She went on to the University of Baltimore School of Law and completed her J.D. in 2009, where family law figured prominently in her studies.
Her early career moved quickly into family law practice. After law school she joined Engel & Engel P.A. as an associate in 2010. She spent the next several years developing courtroom experience and handling domestic matters. In 2014 she worked as an associate at Wright, Constable & Skeen, LLP, taking on more complex custody and divorce files and expanding her familiarity with Maryland family courts.
In 2015 she opened her own firm, Law Offices of Allyson B. Goldscher, LLC. The move gave her control over case selection and office operations. Her practice has handled contested custody hearings, negotiated parenting plans, and represented clients in divorce proceedings. She maintains an office at 10400 Stevenson Road.
Goldscher holds certifications that reflect an emphasis on child-centered work. She is certified as a Court-Appointed Lawyer for Children in Custody and Access Disputes under Maryland Guidelines for Practice. She is also a Certified Custody & Access Mediator under Maryland Rule 17-104. Those credentials have led courts to appoint her in cases where a neutral or child advocate is needed.
Her professional involvement extends beyond her caseload. She has been active in the Bar Association of Baltimore City, serving as Co-Chair of the Family Law Committee from 2013 to 2015. She also participates in the Family and Juvenile Law Section, keeping up with evolving local rules and child welfare practices.
On the practice side she balances litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She represents parents and guardians in custody and access disputes and appears in circuit and district courts across Maryland. She also mediates custody matters, seeking workable parenting arrangements when clients prefer to avoid protracted trials.
Colleagues describe her as steady in courtroom settings and practical at the negotiation table. She places attention on preparation and on explaining options to clients in clear terms. She currently handles family law, custody and access matters in Maryland.
