About Ali

Ali Meronek built a foundation in business before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1994 and took his law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, completing his J.D. in 1997. The combination of business training and legal education shaped an early interest in courtroom work and case strategy.

Meronek began his legal career in public service. In 1997 he joined the 18th Judicial District as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Louisiana District Attorney’s office. That early prosecutorial work placed him in trial courtrooms and gave him front-line experience managing criminal cases and preparing matters for jury verdicts. He returned to the 18th JDC in later years, including recorded service in 2019, handling the kinds of responsibilities that come with district-level prosecutions.

He moved between public office and private practice over the following decades. Records show him practicing as a lawyer under the name Ali Zito Meronek in 2005 and again in 2018, and serving as Of Counsel to Aguillard Law Office, LLC in 2018. Those stints in private practice complemented his earlier prosecutorial background and broadened his exposure to litigation and client counseling outside the DA’s office.

Meronek is admitted to practice in multiple forums. His jurisdictions include Louisiana and New Hampshire, the Middle District of Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. He has handled matters in both state trial courts and federal venues, giving him experience across different procedural settings and appeals pathways.

The arc of his career shows steady courtroom work. His years as an assistant district lawyer involved trial preparation and prosecution tasks. His private practice entries indicate ongoing litigation and client representation. Taken together, they reflect a professional path that alternates between courtroom advocacy and legal counseling.

Today he practices under the name Ali Zito Meronek and has remained active in matters that arise in the jurisdictions to which he is admitted. He continues to appear in state and federal courts where his earlier prosecutorial experience and subsequent private practice intersect. His current practice focuses on litigation and representation in the jurisdictions where he holds admission.
