About Ali Heidari
Ali Heidari Saeid built his path to law through political science and a string of practical training experiences. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Irvine, and later completed his Juris Doctor at Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2013. While at Chapman he added training in mediation and pursued further study in international arbitration law at McGill University, grounding his academic background in both dispute resolution and cross-border commercial issues.
Saeid moved into hands-on legal work early. In 2012 he served as a judicial extern for Hon. Roy L. Paul at the Los Angeles Superior Court and worked as a law clerk at Mirhosseini & Associates the same year. Those experiences exposed him to courtroom procedure and case management. After earning his degree he spent time as an associate at Salek Law Office in 2014, where he handled matters that sharpened his litigation and client-communication skills.
Within a few years Saeid transitioned to in-house legal roles. He joined Cylance Inc. as legal counsel in 2015, an environment that required collaboration across technology, compliance, and commercial teams. In 2017 he took a corporate counsel position at Saratech, handling transactional and corporate governance tasks. In 2019 he became legal counsel at Mainfreight, Inc., where he continues to work now. Those moves reflect a steady shift from firm-side practice to corporate law, and an increased focus on contract work, vendor relationships, and internal counseling.
Saeid holds membership in several professional associations. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 2013, the Orange County Bar Association since 2014, and the Association of Corporate Counsel in Southern California since 2016. His Chapman certification as a mediator complements the course he took in international arbitration at McGill, and it informs how he approaches dispute resolution in corporate settings.
He is admitted to practice in both California and the District of Columbia, and he has combined courtroom exposure and in-house counsel experience to handle a range of corporate and commercial matters. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in legal analysis and direct in communication. He currently practices as legal counsel at Mainfreight, Inc.; his work handles corporate and commercial matters.
