About Alexis

Alexis Peacock built her academic foundation in Arizona. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Arizona State University before completing her J.D. at Arizona Summit Law School. Those years of study gave her a formal grounding in criminal law and courtroom procedure.

She moved into practice soon after law school. In 2015 she joined Dwane Cates Law Group, PLLC as an associate lawyer. That position placed her in a firm environment handling criminal matters and allowed her to develop practical skills early in her career.

Peacock added a national professional connection in 2017 when she became a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has maintained that membership since, which keeps her connected to a broader community of defense practitioners and to continuing legal education resources.

Over time her legal work has remained tied to Arizona. She is admitted to practice in the state and has built experience on local procedural rules and courtroom practice. Her background in criminal justice and her work history point to a practice shaped by criminal defense issues, both substantive and procedural. She has worked on cases that require attention to evidence, pretrial strategy, and an understanding of state sentencing frameworks.

Clients and colleagues describe her style as straightforward and practical. She tends to emphasize clear explanations and direct advocacy. In day-to-day practice she manages client intake, case investigation, and coordination with experts when matters require technical analysis. She also prepares filings and participates in hearings at various stages of criminal proceedings.

Outside of casework she continues to engage with the professional community. Her ongoing membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers reflects an interest in staying current on developments in criminal law and practice. It also offers access to seminars and materials that inform her representation.

Peacock maintains an active presence in Arizona’s legal landscape. Her career path — from undergraduate study through law school to an associate role at a criminal defense firm and sustained professional association membership — shows a continuous focus on criminal law. She currently practices criminal defense in Arizona.
