About Alexis L.
Alexis L. Davidson combined study in finance, business and law over the course of a single academic track. She earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2002, and she completed both an M.B.A. and a J.D. at the same university in 2005. The overlapping degrees gave her both technical and legal training before she began practicing.
Her first listed role began in 2005 as managing lawyer at David A. Bauer, P.C. That early position placed her in a hands-on practice role immediately after finishing law school. She handled the day-to-day responsibilities that come with running matters for clients and shepherding cases through procedural stages, work that shaped her approach to case management and client communication.
A decade later she moved into compliance work. In 2016 she was a compliance lawyer at Nelson & Kennard, where she advised on regulatory obligations and internal procedures. Around the same period she served on the board of the Colorado Creditors Bar Association from 2014 until 2016, a role that reflected an ongoing engagement with issues faced by creditor-side counsel. She also maintains membership in the Nebraska State Bar Association.
Since 2017 she has been listed as a lawyer at Goodwin Siegfried LLP. She is licensed to practice in Nebraska and Colorado, and her combined business and legal education informs how she handles client matters. Her finance background contributes to how she assesses commercial risk and frames legal strategy in lending and collection contexts.
Davidson’s practice has touched on creditor representation, commercial finance matters and regulatory compliance. Her time in both private practice and compliance roles has meant work on transactional issues, contested matters and counseling clients about operational policies. Colleagues and clients have found her practical and precise in legal analysis, preferring straightforward solutions to overcomplicated plans.
She continues to practice at Goodwin Siegfried, LLP, handling creditor representation, commercial finance issues and regulatory compliance.
