About Alexandra Sierra-De
Alexandra Sierra-De Varona trained at the University of Florida where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1993 and earned her Juris Doctor in 1996. She remained connected to the university community during her studies and left law school prepared for courtroom work and client counseling. That combination of psychology and law has shaped how she approaches cases and advises people.
Her early legal career began in private firms where she worked as an associate. In 2000 she joined Roberts & Reynolds, P.A. as an associate lawyer. The following year she moved into an of counsel role at Katzman Wasserman Bennardini and Rubinstein, a position she held while continuing to deepen her practical experience. Those years offered steady exposure to litigation and transactional work and provided a base for launching her own practice.
In 2012 she established De Varona Law and became the firm’s owner. Building a small firm required both legal skill and ordinary management tasks: staffing, client intake, and the daily decisions that keep a practice running. Over time De Varona Law became the primary vehicle for her legal work. Her office is listed under that firm name and she maintains an active presence there.
Beyond private practice, Sierra-De Varona has been involved in nonprofit work. Since 2008 she has served as a director of the Imagina Children’s Foundation. That role has kept her engaged in community-focused initiatives and provided governance experience outside the courtroom. Her position on the foundation’s board involves oversight and strategic input rather than day-to-day program management.
Her admitted jurisdiction is Florida, and her career has been centered on serving clients within that state. Past roles in established law firms gave her courtroom exposure and transactional practice; ownership of a smaller firm required a broader set of responsibilities. Colleagues and clients know her as a lawyer who brings practical concerns to legal problems and who balances advocacy with an eye toward workable solutions.
She continues to practice through De Varona Law and remains active in the legal community and nonprofit sector. Her current practice concentrates on legal matters arising under Florida law.
