About Alexander Arthur
Alexander Arthur Berry earned his law degree from Regent University School of Law in 2008 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at The King’s University in 2003. His academic path combined business training with legal study. That mix informed how he approaches problems — practical and procedural, rather than theoretical.
He began his legal career in public service. In 2012 he worked at a Public Defender’s Office where he handled criminal defense matters on behalf of indigent clients. Those years in the public defender system exposed him to fast-paced court calendars, plea negotiations and the realities of trial practice. He worked daily with people facing serious consequences and learned to manage competing pressures under tight deadlines.
After his time at the Public Defender’s Office, he continued his legal work in Colorado. He later joined Damascus Road Law Group as a lawyer. At the firm he applied courtroom experience to client representation and case preparation. His background in public defense shaped how he approaches investigations, evidence review, and witness preparation. He pays attention to procedure and to the practical steps that move cases forward, from pretrial motions to settlement discussions and trial calendaring.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in court filings and direct in client communications. He draws on his earlier work to evaluate risk for clients and to set realistic expectations about outcomes. He has handled matters through various phases of litigation and in hearings that require a clear command of courtroom procedure. He also brings his undergraduate business training to tasks like negotiating agreements and organizing case budgets.
Berry is licensed to practice in Colorado and has spent the bulk of his career there. He combines public defender experience, courtroom work, and private practice to serve individuals who require legal representation in state courts. He currently practices law in Colorado at Damascus Road Law Group, representing clients in state court matters.
