About Alex

Alex Rosenthal graduated from the University of Virginia and earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He entered the profession after law school and spent the early years of his career working in a variety of firm settings. Those formative years shaped a practice that spans trial work, appeals and arbitration.

Rosenthal began his legal career in large firm practice at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan in 1989. He moved into smaller firm environments in the early 1990s, joining Weisman, Lichtman & Dervishi in 1991 and then Peretz & Rosenthal, P.A. in 1994. Short stints followed at Duker & Barrett in 1995 and Reimer & Rosenthal LLP in 1997. Each stop added a different dimension to his litigation skills and courtroom approach.

In 2012 he founded Rosenthal Law Group. That firm remains the base for his current practice. Over the years the firm has handled contested civil matters in state and federal courts. Rosenthal’s work covers trials, appeals and arbitrations. He represents businesses and individuals in disputes that often involve complex procedural and substantive issues.

Rosenthal holds admissions in several federal courts across Florida. He is a member of the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Those admissions allow him to take cases beyond state court and to handle appellate work when needed.

He serves as a certified arbitrator for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, a role that places him on panels resolving contested matters outside the courtroom. He is a member of the Florida State Bar Association and is recognized as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Those affiliations reflect standing among peers who practice in courtroom litigation and related disciplines.

Colleagues and clients describe Rosenthal as methodical in preparation and practical in courtroom tactics. He splits his time between contested court proceedings and arbitration hearings, taking matters through trial when required and pursuing appeals where appropriate. He maintains an active civil litigation practice at Rosenthal Law Group, handling trials, federal matters, appeals and arbitration in Florida courts and federal forums.

He currently practices at Rosenthal Law Group and maintains admissions that support trial, federal and appellate work.
