About Alex
Alex Peterson earned his J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in 2012 after completing a B.A. at Salisbury University in 2009. He moved to Florida following law school and immersed himself in local legal circles. His academic record is concise and followed a direct path to practice in Collier County and the surrounding region.
Early in his career he took a leadership role at Family First Legal Group, serving as president in 2012. That position placed him at the center of a small practice during a formative period. He has maintained ties to the firm and to local legal institutions ever since. His early responsibilities combined administrative work and client-facing tasks, giving him experience on both sides of law office operations.
Peterson’s professional memberships trace a steady engagement with family law communities. He holds membership in the Florida Bar’s Family Law Section and in the Collier County Bar Association’s Family Law Section. He joined the Collier County Bar Association in 2012 and became active in other civic and professional groups over the following years, including the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce from 2014 and the Association of Family Law Professionals beginning in 2015. He spent time with an Inns of Court chapter from 2014 to 2015 and is also a member of Young Professionals of Naples.
His day-to-day work has centered on family law matters. He has handled typical issues that arise in that field and has worked with clients on practical solutions. Colleagues describe him as someone who prefers straightforward legal reasoning and clear communication in client meetings. He tends to keep files and procedures organized, and he relies on established practice standards when advising clients.
Peterson continues to practice in Florida at Family First Legal Group. He remains involved in local bar activities and civic organizations. He maintains an active presence in the region’s family law community and handles family law matters at his firm.
