About Alex
Alex Palabrica entered legal practice after a grounding in the humanities. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brown University in 2017. He then attended UCLA School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2022. The arc from a liberal arts degree to a professional law degree informs how he approaches complex written materials and factual records.
After law school Palabrica joined Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP as an associate. He works in the firm's California offices and contributes to the client work that passes through the associate ranks. At JMBM he has taken on research, drafting and support tasks that are typical for associates early in their careers, while also appearing in team meetings and client calls as his assignments require.
Palabrica’s legal training is recent. He completed law school in 2022 and brought that contemporary legal education to practice immediately. That timing means he is fluent in recent doctrinal developments and modern legal research tools. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his approach to legal problems and attentive to the details that matter in pleadings, briefs and transactional documents.
He is a current member of the State Bar of California and licensed to practice in the state. That membership is the professional anchor for his work in California courts and in matters subject to California law. He keeps his bar status active while building experience in firm-based practice.
Outside of firm matters, Palabrica’s resume reflects the standard path of a recent law graduate: undergraduate study, three years of law school, then entry into a law firm environment. He is part of a generation of attorneys who move quickly from classroom to client work, and who learn on the job as they handle real matters under the supervision of more senior lawyers.
Today Palabrica continues to practice as an associate at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP in California. He handles research, drafting and client-supported work for the firm’s matters while developing his experience across the firm’s practice areas.
