About Alec
Alec Sauchik earned his J.D. from Fordham University in 2002. He left law school at a moment when health care law was growing more complex. That timing shaped the path he would take in practice.
He began practicing law after graduation and has been active in matters touching both transactional and regulatory sides of the field. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle cases at trial and on appeal when they cross state lines or raise federal questions.
Sauchik maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Those affiliations reflect sustained engagement with legal and managerial issues in health care. They also provide him access to continuing education and peer networks that inform his day-to-day work.
Colleagues describe his work as methodical and practical. He handles regulatory compliance matters, contract negotiations, and disputes that involve health care providers and institutions. His files range from routine contract drafting to contested regulatory inquiries and litigation. He takes a business-minded approach when advising hospital boards, physician groups, and other health care entities. He also advises on administrative matters that require interaction with state regulators and federal agencies.
Outside of direct client work he has participated in professional gatherings where health care regulation and administration intersect. Those forums have given him exposure to policy debates and operational challenges that affect clients. He combines that perspective with courtroom experience when cases require formal advocacy.
Sauchik’s practice sits at the junction of law, policy and health care operations. He continues to represent clients in transactional work, compliance counseling and litigation in New York, New Jersey and before the Second Circuit. His current practice focuses on health care law, regulatory compliance, and related transactional and litigation matters.
