About Albert
Albert Batista built his legal foundation at St. Thomas University, where he earned a B.A. in History and English Literature in 1984. He went on to the University of Miami School of Law and received his J.D. in 1987. Those years framed a classroom-to-court trajectory that would shape a long career in both state and federal practice.
Early in his career Batista practiced in South Florida courts. Over time he secured admissions that include the Florida bar and the Federal Circuit. He has maintained ties to local and regional legal institutions along the way. Memberships in county bar groups and participation in an Inn of Court have been steady parts of his professional life.
Batista has been a member of the Collier County Bar Association since 2009 and joined the Collier County Women’s Bar Association in 2016. He served with the Dade County Bar Association from 1989 until 2001. Since 2012 he has held the title Master of the Bench at the Thomas S. Biggs American Inn of Court, a role that involves mentoring younger lawyers and taking part in programs on ethics and advocacy. Those activities reflect a preference for practical, peer-based exchange rather than white-paper scholarship.
His practice is housed at the Law Office of Albert Batista. He has handled matters that required appearances in state trial courts and in federal appellate settings. Files from different stages of his career show a mix of courtroom work and advisory work. Batista’s work has included briefing, oral argument, and client counseling, tasks that require attention to procedure as much as to persuasive storytelling.
Clients and colleagues describe him as concise in court and deliberate in preparation. He favors courtroom readiness and careful case management. Outside hearings he has stayed involved in the local bar community through continuing legal education programs and Inn of Court events. He remains active in Collier County organizations while retaining ties to the legal community in Miami and beyond.
He now practices at the Law Office of Albert Batista, handling matters in Florida state courts and in proceedings before the Federal Circuit.
