About Alan John
Alan John Natalie has practiced law in Pennsylvania for more than three decades. He arrived in the profession after completing undergraduate study in political science and pre-law. He earned a B.A. from Gannon University in 1986 and a J.D. from Dickinson School of Law in 1989. Those formative years set the tone for a career spent largely in private practice and professional associations.
His first post-law school position came in 1989 as an associate at Elderkin Law Office. He spent his early years learning the daily rhythms of client work and courtroom procedure. In 1994 he took on a leadership role as a principal at Fogl & Natalie, PC. Two years later he shifted again, establishing the practice that bears his name. By 1996 he was principal of Alan Natalie, Lawyer at Law.
Outside the office he has remained active in the bar. He holds current membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar. Since 2000 he has served as a Master in the Northwestern Pennsylvania American Inn of Court, a role that involves mentoring, education and engagement with other lawyers and judges. That long-standing association has been one of the steadier threads in his professional life.
Colleagues and court records chart a steady progression from associate to principal. The record shows a lawyer who has spent most of his working life managing a private practice and participating in local legal institutions. He has experience supervising casework and advising clients on matters that come into a small law office. His work has required courtroom appearances, negotiation and case management across a range of everyday legal issues that arise in Pennsylvania practice.
He has kept his practice rooted in the state where he trained. Over the years he has balanced solo practice demands with the obligations of bar and Inn membership. Those roles have kept him visible to peers and engaged in continuing legal education.
He continues to practice in Pennsylvania as the principal of his own firm, maintaining a private practice in the state.
