About Alan Jeffrey
Alan Jeffrey Levine built a legal path that crosses courtroom benches, municipal boards and private practice. He studied science at the Georgia Institute of Technology before shifting to law, earning a B.S. in General Science from Georgia Tech in 1991 and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2006.
Levine began his legal career in public service. In 2007 he joined the Cobb County Solicitor General’s office as an assistant solicitor, a role that put him at the center of misdemeanor prosecutions and daily courtroom work. That early exposure to trial procedure and local ordinance cases shaped much of what came next in his professional life.
He moved into private practice and partnerships over the following years. Records show he was part of Lyle & Levine in 2014. In 2016 he took the bench as a magistrate judge in the Magistrate Court of Cobb County. The judicial stint lasted into 2017 and gave him a direct view of how cases are handled from both sides of the bar.
In 2017 Levine opened his own practice, The Law Office of Alan J. Levine. As owner he has handled a mix of matters tied to his earlier public roles. His training includes a certification in DWI/DUI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Agency, and an edX verified certificate in Human Anatomy: Musculoskeletal Cases. Those credentials inform how he approaches cases that involve traffic offenses and related medical evidence.
Outside the courtroom he has been active in local governance and civic groups. He has served on the Marietta Historic Board of Review and the Marietta Historic Preservation Commission from 2012 to 2015. He holds seats on several boards, including Mentoring for Leadership and Sober Streets, LLC, and has been involved with Marietta City Schools’ school board since 2014. Professional associations include the Georgia Tech Bar Association and the Cobb County Bar Association, memberships he has maintained since the late 2000s.
Levine’s career blends public sector experience, a brief judicial role, and private practice management. He remains based in Georgia and continues to represent clients through The Law Office of Alan J. Levine, handling matters that include DUI/DWI and municipal legal issues.
