About Ajay
Ajay Pallegar earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2007 after completing undergraduate studies in political science at the University of South Florida in 2004. His academic record placed him on a straightforward path into practice. The combination of a public university undergraduate degree and a private law school credential set the stage for courtroom work and court admissions that would follow.
He began his legal career in 2007 as an Assistant State Lawyer at the Pinellas County State Lawyers Office in the Sixth Judicial Circuit. That early role put him into the local court system and into regular contact with the procedural demands of trial dockets. The work provided a foundation in courtroom procedure and case management during his first years as a practicing attorney.
In 2010 he founded Pallegar Law, P.A. and has served as its managing partner since then. He is a member of The Florida Bar, admitted in 2007, and he holds a license to practice in the U.S. Middle District. His admissions include the state of Florida and the Sixth Circuit. Over time he has built a practice based out of his firm and maintained the credentials needed for both state and federal filings.
Outside the office he has combined professional involvement with volunteer work. He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2007 and began tutoring with Lawyers for Literacy in 2011, a role he continues. He served on the board of directors for the St. Jude’s Homeless Veterans Resource Center from 2009 to 2011. Professional recognitions include inclusion in National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 from 2015 through 2020 and listing among the organization’s Top 100 from 2018 to 2020. Those listings reflect peer or organizational recognition rather than court-granted titles.
His practice is conducted through Pallegar Law, P.A., where he handles matters arising in his admitted jurisdictions and in federal court for the U.S. Middle District. He remains an active member of The Florida Bar and continues to combine firm leadership with courtroom work in state and federal forums.
