About Ahren
Ahren Tiller built his legal foundation in Southern California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003 and completed his law degree at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2006. Those years set the stage for a practice centered on bankruptcy law.
Tiller moved into bankruptcy practice soon after law school. In 2009 he took on a supervising lawyer role at the Bankruptcy Law Center. That early supervisory post placed him in courtroom settings and client rooms, handling matters that ranged from routine filings to more complex insolvency questions. Over time he expanded the scope of his practice to cover federal and state proceedings across California.
He is admitted to practice in California and appears regularly in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Central Districts of California. That geographic coverage means he works with trustees, creditors and debtors across urban and suburban districts. He handles personal and business matters that come before the bankruptcy bench.
Tiller holds several certifications that mark a specialty in bankruptcy law. He is a Certified Bankruptcy Law Specialist through the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He also carries certifications from the American Board of Certification in both Consumer Bankruptcy Law and Business Bankruptcy Law. Those credentials identify a lawyer who has pursued additional training and testing in the field.
Professional associations are a regular part of his career. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. Locally, he participates in the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum and the California Bankruptcy Forum. He is also listed as a member of the American Association for Justice. These memberships provide forums for continuing legal education and peer discussion.
Tiller practices at The Bankruptcy Law Center. He has served in supervisory roles there and continues to appear in bankruptcy courts across the state. Colleagues describe him as experienced in both consumer and business bankruptcy matters and as someone who routinely manages filings, representation and courtroom practice.
He handles individual and corporate bankruptcy work in California and in the federal courts that serve the state, and his current practice focus is bankruptcy representation and counseling.
