About Agatha Laura
Agatha Laura Rode built an academic foundation that blends law and business. She earned a B.S. in Government and Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2001. She then completed a J.D. at St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2006 and added an M.B.A. from the same school in 2007. The sequence of degrees shaped an approach that joins legal analysis with an awareness of organizational and commercial concerns.
Early in her career Rode became active in the San Antonio legal community. She joined Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and the Aggie Bar Association in 2007, and she has been a member of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association since that year as well. She joined the San Antonio Young Lawyer’s Association in 2009 and became a member of the San Antonio Bar Association in 2010. Those memberships reflect steady ties to local professional networks and to the alumni and advocacy circles that surround Texas law practice.
Her work has been centered in Texas courts and legal practice. Rode’s combined J.D. and M.B.A. training gives her a perspective that is useful when legal questions intersect with business decisions. Colleagues describe her as methodical in the way she prepares matters and attentive to procedural detail. She has handled matters that require careful statutory reading and practical problem solving, and she maintains an active presence in the San Antonio legal scene.
Rode practices at Hayes, Rode & Carrillo, PLLC. At that firm she handles a steady docket of client work and participates in client intake, case planning and courtroom preparation. She balances litigation tasks with transactional counseling, applying both legal doctrine and business considerations when advising clients. Her involvement with local bar organizations complements her private practice work and keeps her engaged with continuing legal education and peer discussion.
Outside the office her background as a Texas A&M graduate and St. Mary’s alumna informs how she approaches mentorship and professional development. She stays connected to student and young lawyer programs through bar association activities and legal fraternity networks. Her current practice concentrates on representing clients in Texas and on advising businesses and individuals where legal and commercial issues intersect.
