About Adriana

Adriana Volterra completed her undergraduate studies at Bryn Mawr College in 2015 and earned her J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2021. Her academic background combined a liberal arts foundation with three years of law school training in Washington, D.C. She entered the bar shortly after finishing law school and began building a practice in New York.

Her early legal career has been spent at Burke & Casserly, P.C., where she serves as an associate lawyer. She joined the firm after law school and has taken on responsibilities typical for associates at midsize firms: research, drafting, and supporting case preparation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in approach and attentive to procedural detail. She has worked on matters handled by the firm across its practice areas and provided support at different stages of case development.

Volterra is admitted to practice in New York and has been a member of the New York State Bar Association since 2021. She engages with the bar association's programs and resources that are available to early-career lawyers. That membership has given her opportunities to attend CLE programs and to stay current on developments in state practice and procedure. The association involvement also serves as a professional touchpoint while she builds her experience.

Her courtroom exposure and client work have grown through practice at Burke & Casserly. She assists more senior attorneys and has taken on increasing responsibility for drafting pleadings and managing discovery. Day-to-day work requires balancing legal research with client communication and calendaring deadlines. She approaches each matter by breaking it into discrete tasks and tracking progress closely.

Outside of firm duties, Volterra's trajectory remains grounded in continuing legal education and local professional engagement. She keeps up with case law and procedural rules that shape litigation in New York courts. As she gains experience, she has taken on more substantive drafting and direct client contact.

As of 2026, she continues as an associate at Burke & Casserly, P.C., practicing in New York and concentrating her work on matters arising in the state's courts.
