About Adam

Adam Gana graduated from the University of Vermont in 1998 and earned his J.D. from New York Law School in 2002. His academic path combined a broad undergraduate education with three years of law study in New York, where he developed the foundations that would shape his later practice in federal and state courts.

He began his post-law school career as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP in 2004. That early experience at a large national firm exposed him to complex litigation and procedural practice at a high level. In 2008 he served as a law clerk to a judge of the United States District Court, a role that offered an inside view of federal court operations and decision-making.

After the clerkship he moved into private practice and later became a managing partner at Gana Weinstein LLP. In that leadership role he oversees case strategy, supervises litigation teams, and handles client matters. His trajectory reflects both courtroom experience and firm management responsibilities.

Gana is admitted to practice in New York and holds admissions in several federal appellate circuits and district courts, including the 4th, 6th, 9th and 11th Circuits, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Those admissions enable him to handle matters that cross state lines and to bring appeals when necessary. His courtroom work ranges from district court filings to briefs before circuit panels.

Outside the courtroom he has taken on roles in professional organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Investor Advocates Bar Association. He maintains memberships in the American Association for Justice, the Public Investor Arbitration Bar Association, the American Bar Association’s Litigation Division, and the ABA Alternative/Securities Dispute Resolution Committee. These affiliations reflect sustained engagement with litigation practice and securities dispute resolution.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who balances attention to procedural detail with the demands of appellate and trial practice. He has handled matters that require coordination among multiple courts and practitioners. His work involves supervising filings, preparing oral argument, and guiding litigation teams through discovery and trial preparation.

He practices at Gana Weinstein LLP, where his current work centers on representing investors in securities disputes and managing complex litigation across federal and state forums.
