About Abdulrehman
Abdulrehman Ahmed began his professional path in engineering before pivoting to the law. He earned both a B.S. and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, then went on to Rutgers School of Law–Newark. The combination of technical training and legal education shapes how he approaches cases and counsel.
After law school, Ahmed served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Gilson at the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. The clerkship exposed him to appellate procedure and legal writing at a high level. He spent that time parsing complex records, drafting bench memoranda and opinions, and observing how appellate judges frame legal questions for review.
Following his clerkship, Ahmed entered private practice. He joined Ibrahim Ahmed Law Group, P.C., where he works as a lawyer. Colleagues and clients note that his engineering background informs his analyses. He tends to break complicated factual and technical details into discrete issues. That habit shows up in discovery and in crafting arguments that turn on engineering, measurements, plans or specifications.
In court filings and client interviews, Ahmed is methodical. He prepares evidence with an eye for how it will read on appeal. His time at the Appellate Division continues to influence his written advocacy and case strategy. He has handled matters across New Jersey courts and is licensed to practice in that state.
Outside the courtroom, Ahmed keeps professional relationships that reflect his career arc. His education at NJIT and Rutgers provides a network that spans technical and legal communities. He is listed as holding a professional membership that began in 2021 and is current, and he maintains ties to peers in both engineering and law.
Today Abdulrehman Ahmed practices at Ibrahim Ahmed Law Group, P.C. He concentrates his practice on advising and representing clients in matters arising in New Jersey.
