Mr. Dishon is the managing partner at Dishon & Block, a family law firm with offices in Irvine and Century City, California. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Southern California, including Los Angeles and Orange counties.
Mr. Dishon earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1995. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy in 1992. During his time at UC Hastings, he was actively involved in various legal organizations and participated in the school's clinical legal education program.
Mr. Dishon concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, paternity, business valuation, complex property division, and high net worth cases. He represents individuals and families in all stages of family law proceedings, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Throughout his career, Mr. Dishon has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years. His diverse experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of family law matters and the intricacies of the legal system.
Mr. Dishon is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association Section of Family Law, where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Marital Property Committee. He is also a member of the Association of Family Court and Community Professionals and the Association of California Family Law Specialists.
