About Leann K.
Leann K. Kaufman earned her undergraduate degree in Social Ecology and Women’s Studies from the University of California, Irvine, and later received her J.D. from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2007. Her academic path combined social science and law, giving her a foundation for work that intersects family matters and legal process. She completed formal legal training at Chapman and entered the California bar thereafter.
She is admitted to practice in California and holds certification as a Certified Family Law Specialist from the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. That certification marks a formal recognition of additional study and testing in family law, and it signals an emphasis in that area of the law within her practice.
After law school Kaufman began her legal career in California courts and law offices. Over time she moved into private practice and established the Law Office of Leann K. Kaufman. The office is organized to provide direct representation and counseling for individuals navigating family disputes. She has handled cases in state family courts and worked with clients on matters that require both legal strategy and an understanding of court procedures.
Her practice centers on family law matters. She regularly deals with dissolution proceedings, child custody arrangements and child support issues. She also handles spousal support matters and related financial and parenting disputes that arise during and after divorce. In the courtroom she has represented clients at hearings and settlement conferences. In offices and mediations she has helped negotiate agreements intended to resolve disputes without prolonged litigation.
Kaufman’s background in social ecology and women’s studies informs how she approaches cases that involve family dynamics and the well-being of children. She combines legal analysis with attention to practical considerations for clients. That approach shapes how she prepares cases, presents evidence and pursues resolutions tailored to the circumstances of each household.
Today she operates the Law Office of Leann K. Kaufman and continues to practice in California family courts. Her current practice handles divorce, custody, support and related family law matters in California.
