Born and raised in Florida, Mr. Fowinkle has deep roots in the Sunshine State. His commitment to service began when he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Legal Yeoman from 1992 to 1995. This role provided him with a unique perspective on legal matters, particularly in military law. After completing his service, he pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida in 1999. His academic journey continued at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2003.
During his time in law school, Mr. Fowinkle distinguished himself by being selected for the Moot Court Honor Society. This prestigious organization allowed him to hone his oral advocacy skills, leading to his representation of the school as a national competitor in Washington D.C. This experience not only sharpened his litigation abilities but also provided him with invaluable exposure to the details of courtroom dynamics. His dedication to legal excellence was evident even then, before his future career. Since his admission to the Florida State Bar in 2005, Mr. Fowinkle has built a robust legal practice.
He has conducted over 70 trials, focusing primarily on criminal defense and family law cases. His extensive trial experience gave him the skills necessary to navigate complex legal issues effectively. Clients benefit from his understanding of the law and his ability to advocate fiercely on their behalf. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Fowinkle is a devoted family man — He is married to Jennifer, and together they have two children, JT and Ashlynne. Family time is important to him, and he enjoys engaging in various activities with them. In his free time, Mr. Fowinkle has a diverse range of interests, including board games, music festivals, golf, and cooking. These hobbies allow him to unwind and connect with his family, balancing his demanding career with cherished moments at home.
