About Yolanda

Yolanda Castro-Dominguez started her own practice just two years after finishing law school. She built a small firm that handles a range of civil matters and communities of clients who need hands-on legal help.

Her academic path began at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned a B.B.A. in 2009 with a concentration in management. She continued to Texas A&M University School of Law and received her J.D. in 2015. The sequence of degrees provided a mix of business and legal training that informs how she approaches client matters.

During law school she took on several placements in the public sector. In 2014 she worked as a summer legal intern at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and served as a legal extern with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Those roles exposed her to housing and administrative law issues and to the workings of federal agencies. Before law school she also spent time in the title industry, working as an escrow officer for Stewart Title in 2001, an experience that gave her early exposure to real estate transactions.

After completing her J.D., Castro-Dominguez joined The Law Office of Jason Amon, P.C., first as a legal assistant and then as an associate lawyer in 2015. The early years in a small firm setting helped her develop case management skills and courtroom experience. In 2017 she opened The Law Office of Yolanda Castro-Dominguez, PLLC and assumed the role of principal lawyer. She has since managed the firm’s caseload and handled filings, negotiations and client counseling.

Her work draws on the combination of title-industry experience, federal internships and private practice. That background informs the types of matters she handles, which include residential real estate matters, housing-related disputes, and administrative issues that touch public benefits and agency processes. She represents individuals and small businesses on transactional and contested matters and often navigates questions that overlap regulatory and real-estate concerns.

Castro-Dominguez is licensed to practice in Texas. She is an active member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, and she has been a member of the Dallas County Bar Association since 2016. She runs The Law Office of Yolanda Castro-Dominguez, PLLC and directs its daily practice. Her current practice concentrates on civil and real estate matters, including housing-related issues and related administrative proceedings.
