About Yetunde Okunade
Yetunde Okunade Aird earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013. She moved into practice in Indiana soon after, pairing courtroom work with public interest law. Her law school training provided the foundation for a varied early career that crossed public service and private practice.
Aird opened her first solo practice in 2014 under the name Okunade Law Office. That same year she also handled family law matters at Indiana Legal Services. Those dual roles gave her an early mix of client-facing advocacy and systems-based representation for low-income clients. In 2018 she joined the Hendricks County Department of Child Services, where she worked on cases involving child welfare and agency proceedings. She returned to Indiana Legal Services in 2019 and later moved into personal injury practice at Reaves Law Office in 2020.
In 2021 she launched Aird Law Office. The firm reflects the range of her prior work: family law, child welfare matters and civil claims are part of her everyday docket. Her practice includes representation in state courts across Indiana and Tennessee. She holds licenses to practice law from both the Indiana Supreme Court and the Tennessee Supreme Court and maintains memberships in the State Bar of Tennessee and the Indianapolis Bar Association.
Her time in public service shaped how she approaches client work. At the county child services office, she handled administrative hearings and collaborated with social workers and agency attorneys. At Indiana Legal Services she managed cases that required navigating limited-resources litigation and alternative dispute resolution. In private practice she broadened into personal injury, taking on claims that required investigation, client counseling and negotiation with insurers.
Clients and colleagues describe her work as methodical and practical. She balances litigation tasks with efforts to settle cases when settlement serves the client’s interests. Her courtroom appearances, administrative advocacy and office-based casework give her a range of procedural experience.
Aird divides time between Indiana and Tennessee cases and oversees the operations of Aird Law Office. She continues to accept matters that reflect her background in family law, child welfare and civil litigation. She currently concentrates her practice on family law, personal injury and related civil matters.
