About Yasha
Yasha Ahoubim built a legal foundation over a decade of study. He earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (2014). He went on to earn a J.D. from Southwestern Law School (2018) and returned to UCLA School of Law to complete an LL.M. in Business and Corporate Law (2021).
After law school he began practicing in the business law space. He has handled transactional work, contract drafting and negotiation, and corporate governance matters for small and mid-sized companies. Peers describe his approach as pragmatic; he breaks complex problems into manageable tasks and prioritizes practical solutions for clients.
Ahoubim is admitted to practice in both California and Nevada. Those dual admissions let him work on cross-border matters within the western United States. He has represented clients on issues that touch both jurisdictions, from entity formation to contract disputes, and he often counsels startups and family-owned businesses on risk allocation.
His LL.M. in business and corporate law informs much of his practice. The additional year of postgraduate study deepened his familiarity with corporate structures, securities considerations for private companies, and regulatory compliance issues. He draws on that training when structuring transactions and when advising boards on governance policies.
In the office he is known for clear drafting and attention to detail. That shows up in shareholder agreements, employment provisions, and purchase and sale documents. He also spends time on pre-litigation work—trying to resolve disputes before they escalate into formal lawsuits.
Outside the courtroom or negotiation table, Ahoubim has kept ties to academic study. He reads recent developments in business law and follows regulatory shifts that can affect corporate clients. The work requires staying current on case law and administrative rules in both states where he is licensed.
He practices at Cohen & Ahoubim PLLC, handling business and corporate matters across California and Nevada.
