About William Jeptha
William Jeptha Williford earned a sequence of degrees before entering the legal profession. He studied at Western Kentucky University, where he completed bachelor's degrees in political science and English and went on to earn a master's degree in English. He later obtained his law degree from Nashville School of Law.
Those academic credentials preceded a varied early career. In 2004 he worked as a law clerk for Mike Breen at Lawyers at Law, P.S.C. He enlisted in the United States Army and served as a soldier, paratrooper and noncommissioned officer in 2008. Years later he returned to the Breen office in a paralegal and assistant role in 2016, again working alongside Mike Breen. That mix of legal support work and military service shaped his approach to practice and to the practical demands of case work.
Williford is licensed to practice in both Kentucky and Tennessee. He also holds a Rank II Kentucky high school teacher certification from the Kentucky Department of Education, an indication of his background in education and public service. His professional memberships include Life Fellowship in the Kentucky Bar Foundation, and veteran service organization memberships such as Veterans of Foreign Wars (Legacy Life Gold) and Disabled American Veterans (Life).
On the bench and at the drafting table he has combined courtroom preparation with client-facing work. His experience as a law clerk and later as a paralegal gave him early exposure to pleadings, discovery and trial preparation. His military service added leadership responsibilities and experience in disciplined, structured environments. Over time those roles converged into a practice aimed at resolving disputes through negotiation and, when necessary, litigation.
He practices at Breen & Williford, Injury Lawyers, PSC. There he handles personal injury matters, representing clients in claims, hearings and trials when cases proceed that far. His work spans client interviews, evidence development and courtroom appearances. He continues to maintain ties to veteran organizations and legal foundations as part of his professional life.
Williford currently works at Breen & Williford, Injury Lawyers, PSC, where his practice concentrates on personal injury representation.
