About William D.
William D. Dillon built a legal career that began in classrooms and courtroom corridors. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1984 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Alabama School of Law in 1987. Those academic years set the stage for a practice shaped by litigation and regulatory work.
Soon after law school, Dillon moved into public service. In 1988 he served as a senior trial lawyer in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In that role he worked on enforcement and litigation matters at the trial level. The post offered early and sustained exposure to complex disputes between private parties and to the litigation mechanics of a large government enforcement agency.
Dillon transitioned to private practice over the years and has led his own firm since 2012 as managing shareholder of Dillon Law Group, LLC. In that capacity he has overseen case strategy, firm operations and client representation. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who applies courtroom experience to the business side of running a law firm as well as to individual matters he handles.
His bar admission is in Georgia, and he maintains professional ties across several legal organizations. He has been a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association since 2012. He joined the Atlanta Bar Association in 2014 and remains active there. Those memberships reflect ongoing engagement with the legal community and a network that spans local and national practice circles.
Dillon’s practice combines a background in government litigation with the demands of private-sector cases. He concentrates on litigation and trial work in Georgia and draws on years of courtroom experience in handling matters that require advocacy before judges and juries. He serves as managing shareholder at Dillon Law Group, LLC, and continues to take cases that involve intensive trial preparation and courtroom presentation. His current practice focuses on litigation and trial work in Georgia.
