About William
William Collins studied political science at the University of Southern California and added a minor in history before heading to Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. His undergraduate work gave him a broad view of institutions and public life. Law school refined that interest into practice. He moved from study to courtroom-ready training and earned his law degree in Los Angeles.
He began his professional career in the early 2010s. In 2013 he worked as a lawyer at Carroll, Kelly, Trotter, Franzen, McKenna & Peabody, where he handled matters that required early courtroom exposure and case preparation skills. That experience led him to the Law Offices of Marshall Silberberg in 2016. There he continued in a lawyer role and took on more responsibility in litigation and client representation.
Collins is admitted to practice in California and holds memberships in professional groups that reflect his courtroom interests. He is a current member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association and the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. Those affiliations signal a practice oriented toward contested civil matters and consumer-related disputes. He has taken depositions, prepared motions and handled trials at various stages, often working to move cases from investigation to resolution.
Colleagues describe his style as straightforward and practical. He tends to break complex issues into discrete steps and to present them clearly to judges, juries and opposing counsel. His time in small firm settings and in specialized plaintiff-side and defense-side environments has exposed him to both sides of litigation strategy. That experience informs how he evaluates settlement options and courtroom risks for clients.
He has remained based in Southern California since his education and early work. That regional continuity has helped him build familiarity with local courts and the procedural rhythms of county and federal dockets in the area. He currently practices at the Law Office of Marshall Silberberg, handling consumer and trial matters in California.
