William Carley Halsey is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2010. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Halsey is the founding attorney at the Law Office of William C. Halsey, located at 2424 Vista Way, Suite 320, Oceanside, California. He has been practicing law for over 16 years, serving clients throughout the San Diego County area.
Mr. Halsey earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 1975. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969. During his time at California Western, he participated in the Naval Justice School in 1976, enhancing his legal training.
Mr. Halsey concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and personal injury. He represents individuals in matters involving divorce and separation, child custody, and criminal defense. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Halsey has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Diego, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to founding his own firm, he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 to 1981.
Mr. Halsey is an active member of the North County Bar Association and the San Diego County Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association. He is also a certified mediator through the San Diego Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Halsey is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of San Diego County effectively.
