About William

William Amadeo earned his undergraduate degree from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, completing a B.A. in 1999 after beginning his studies in 1996. He later attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where he completed his J.D. in 2008 following a course of study that began in 2004. Those academic stops laid a foundation in legal theory and research that would shape a career alternating between writing and law.

His early professional life included work as a journalist. In 2006 he wrote for Football.com, a role that sharpened his ability to distill complex information for general audiences. He returned to journalism in 2017 as a freelance contributor to Weloveannarbor.com. The bylines were varied, but the skills were consistent: investigation, concise writing and an eye for detail. Those skills proved useful when he moved into private practice.

Amadeo took on a leadership role in private practice in 2017 when he became a partner at Ann Arbor Legal. That position placed him in a firm environment where case management and client communication were daily responsibilities. In 2020 he joined McManus & Amadeo PLLC as a lawyer. His time in firms has combined courtroom work with the drafting and analytical tasks that clients expect from trial counsel.

He is admitted to practice in Michigan and New Jersey, and he holds admission to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He has been a member of the Michigan State Bar Association since 2011. That ongoing association ties him to statewide developments in law and professional practice norms.

Colleagues describe Amadeo as steady and precise in his handling of legal matters. He balances litigation work with the research and drafting that his background in journalism supports. He has worked on matters that span the regional courts in which he is admitted, and he is familiar with the procedural demands of federal practice in the Eastern District of Michigan. He currently practices law at McManus & Amadeo PLLC and handles matters in Michigan, New Jersey and the Eastern District of Michigan.
