About William A.

William A. Wooten built his foundation in liberal arts and public affairs. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

After law school, Wooten established a practice that crosses state lines. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee, Texas and Missouri. Over the years he has balanced courtroom work, counseling clients, and handling transactional matters. Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in his approach to casework.

Wooten also holds a SHRM Certified Human Resource Professional credential. That credential informs how he handles matters that touch on employment and personnel issues. It gives him an added perspective when advising businesses and individuals about workplace policies, compliance and dispute resolution.

Community involvement has been a recurring thread in his career. He has been a member of the Rotary Club since 2009 and remains active in its local initiatives. That long-standing involvement reflects an interest in civic engagement and local networks beyond the courtroom.

His practice has included both advisory and litigation elements. He spends time drafting agreements, advising clients on regulatory questions, and preparing cases that proceed to trial when necessary. He keeps the practical concerns of clients at the forefront, aiming to provide clear options rather than legalese.

Wooten heads the Wooten Law Office, where he handles matters that often intersect law and human resources. He maintains licenses in three states and continues to combine legal work with community service. He currently practices at Wooten Law Office, concentrating on matters that intersect law and human resources.
