About Wesley
Wesley Parks earned his B.A. in Art History from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2003. He returned to school a decade later and received his J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law in 2013. Those academic years framed a shift from broad liberal arts study to a legal career built around dispute resolution and civil practice.
Parks began gaining practical experience while still in law school, serving as a legal intern in 2011 at the P. Mars Scott Law Offices. After earning his degree he took on a series of early positions that exposed him to different areas of practice. In 2014 he worked as a contract lawyer for Pangrle Patent, Brand & Design Law, P.C., and also spent time at the Law Offices of Lisa E. Frazer, LLC. The following year he moved into mediation work as lead mediator at Jefferson County Mediation Services.
In 2016 Parks combined litigation and alternative dispute resolution in a dual role as lawyer and mediator at Cohen & Cohen, P.C. That period helped him refine the procedural and interpersonal skills needed to move contested matters toward settlement. By 2019 he was serving both inside and outside the classroom: he worked as a contract mediator for the Colorado Judicial Branch Office of Dispute Resolution and taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Over the past decade Parks has built a practice rooted in mediation, negotiation, and court-connected dispute resolution. He has handled contract mediations and community-based settlement conferences and worked with parties across civil matters. His background includes contract work for intellectual property counsel and client-side representation at small firms, giving him exposure to both technical subject matter and everyday disputes.
Parks maintains a practice through PARKS MEDIATION and is admitted to practice in Colorado and Montana. He splits time between private mediation work and court-referred dispute resolution, and he continues to take occasional teaching and contract-mediation assignments. He currently concentrates on mediation and alternative dispute resolution in Colorado and Montana.
