About Wesley

Wesley Browne earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1996. He completed a traditional course of study there and entered the legal profession at a time of steady change in Kentucky’s courts. The law school years shaped his approach to practice, favoring clear writing and practical problem-solving.

He practices in Kentucky and is admitted to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Over the years he has worked in private practice and served clients on matters that require handling both state court filings and federal appellate procedures. His background reflects long-term ties to the region and an emphasis on handling cases that arise out of local community needs.

In 2008 he served as president of the Madison County Bar Association. That role placed him in the center of local bar activities, from continuing legal education to supporting the day-to-day operations of a county association. He has also been active in municipal oversight. In 2008 he was appointed to the City of Richmond, Kentucky Ethics Commission, a position he has held continuously since that appointment. That civic work has involved reviewing municipal ethics questions and participating in public-facing local governance efforts.

Browne operates from the Browne Law Office, PSC. He runs a small office that handles matters for clients in and around Madison County and elsewhere in Kentucky. The office acts as the base for filings in state court as well as for matters that may reach the Sixth Circuit. Colleagues and peers have known him for steady participation in local bar events and for the practical administration of a small firm’s caseload.

Over more than two decades in practice he has combined bar leadership, municipal service, and private practice. He remains based in Richmond and keeps an active role in the local legal community. His current practice concentrates on state and federal matters arising in Kentucky and cases before the Sixth Circuit.
