About Wendy M.
Wendy M. Musielak earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from DePaul University in 1995, then stayed in Chicago to complete her J.D. at DePaul College of Law in 1999. Her academic path combined business training with legal education. That combination has informed the way she approaches casework and client counseling throughout her career.
After law school she moved into public-sector work and by 2004 was serving as a staff lawyer for the 18th Judicial Circuit Court. The position placed her inside the courtroom environment and the day-to-day workings of the local judiciary. It was practical experience that preceded her transition into private practice.
In 2006 she became a partner at Andrew Cores Family Law Group. The firm’s name reflects the area in which the firm practices and where she has concentrated much of her professional effort. Her time in private practice followed court-side work and drew on both her legal training and earlier financial studies.
Musielak has maintained an active role in professional organizations across the region. She is a Fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, a status she has held since 2009. She also belongs to the Kane County Bar Association (since 2009), the Will County Bar Association (since 2006) and the DuPage County Bar Association (since 2004). Those memberships tie her to multiple county courts and to other lawyers working in family and civil matters.
Licensed to practice in Illinois, Musielak works out of offices in Wheaton and Oswego. Her career moves — from DePaul classrooms to the 18th Judicial Circuit Court and into partnership at a family law firm — chart a steady trajectory within the state’s legal community. She currently practices family law from offices in Wheaton and Oswego, handling matters across the Illinois courts.
