About Wayne

Wayne Jentis built a legal foundation in classrooms on two continents before moving into courtrooms. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and Prelaw from Rutgers University in 1980. He later studied international human rights law at the University of Oxford in 1999. He completed his J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law in 2000.

After law school he served as a law clerk to the Honorable F. Lee Forrester, P.J.F.D., at the Superior Court of New Jersey, Mercer County, in 2000. Earlier, while still a student, he worked as an acting attorney under Rule 1:21-3 at the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice in 1998. Those early roles gave him hands-on experience in trial court procedures and public-interest matters.

He entered private practice in the early 2000s. In 2001 he joined Diamond and Diamond, P.A. He worked at the Micklin Law Group in 2003. By 2004 he opened his own firm, Wayne F. Jentis, Counsellors At Law, LLC. Six years later he founded East Coast Law, P.A., where he serves as owner and managing lawyer.

Jentis holds admissions across several jurisdictions. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, and before the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He also holds admission to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. Those admissions allow him to represent clients in both state and federal forums.

Professional associations have been part of his civil bar life. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2000 and the New Jersey State Bar since 2001. Locally he is active in the Brevard County Bar Association and is listed with the Brevard Collaborative Association beginning in 2018. His memberships reflect a practice that spans state boundaries and touches on local court systems.

Today Jentis operates from East Coast Law, P.A., maintaining an office in Brevard County. He continues to appear in state courts and in federal district and bankruptcy courts where he holds admission. His current practice handles matters that arise at both the trial-court level and in federal courts, and he represents clients through East Coast Law, P.A.
