About Warren V.
Warren V. Norred built a career at the intersection of engineering and law. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1990 and a master’s in the same field in 1993. He later returned to study law, receiving his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2007.
Those academic choices set the tone for his professional trajectory. His engineering training informs his approach to patent matters and technical disputes. After law school he gained credentials as a registered patent lawyer before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and established practice credentials that include appearances before the Federal Circuit and licensure in Texas.
Norred’s professional involvement extends beyond courtroom and office work. In 2014 he served as an associate with the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court. He has been active in professional organizations relevant to both intellectual property and bankruptcy. He has participated in the National Association of Patent Practitioners, including serving on its Legislative Committee beginning in 2008. He also holds membership in the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2009. Earlier in his career he played a leadership role in the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, serving as chair of the UT-Arlington Section from 1998 to 2008.
Campus leadership foreshadowed later civic engagement. During law school he was president of the student branch of the Federalist Society, and he continues an affiliation with the organization through its lawyer branch and executive committee. Since 2012 he has sat on the board of directors for Arlington Classics Academy, a role he continues to hold.
Colleagues describe Norred as someone who attends carefully to technical detail and legal procedure. His resume shows steady involvement in organizations that shape patent practice and consumer bankruptcy law. He has maintained a profile that bridges practice, policy and education — a mix of local civic work and national professional activity.
He maintains offices in Arlington and Southlake, Texas, and concentrates his practice on patent and intellectual property matters and related federal appeals. He currently handles patent and intellectual property matters.
