About Walter

Walter Wooley trained at Marquette University Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor. He arrived in Milwaukee for law school and stayed in the state afterward. His legal education grounded him in trial practice, legal research and the range of state court procedures that shape litigation in Wisconsin.

After law school he was admitted to practice in Wisconsin. He began his career handling a mix of matters that exposed him to courtroom work and client counseling. Over time he moved into a role that blends case management, courtroom appearances and advising individuals and small businesses on legal options. He developed a practical sense for what clients need from counsel: clear explanations, realistic strategies and steady handling of deadlines and documents.

Colleagues describe his style as direct and deliberate. He favors concise written work and careful oral presentation. He has handled contested hearings as well as negotiated resolutions outside the courtroom. He approaches each file by first clarifying the client’s immediate goals, then mapping the procedural steps required to reach them. That approach shapes how he prepares pleadings, marshals evidence and communicates with opposing counsel.

He practices at Wooley Law. The firm serves clients across Wisconsin, including in state trial courts and administrative forums. At the firm he oversees casework, meets with clients and directs litigation strategy. He also spends time on client intake and case assessment, aiming to identify options early and to calibrate effort to likely outcomes.

Outside the courtroom his work involves legal writing and client education. He explains options, potential risks and timelines so clients can make informed choices. He pays close attention to statutory deadlines and court procedures, recognizing that missed steps can change a case’s course.

Over the years his practice has stayed rooted in Wisconsin law and the procedural realities of the state courts. He remains based in the state and continues to represent individuals and businesses through Wooley Law. He currently practices law in Wisconsin, representing clients in matters arising under state law.
