About Vito
Vito Manicioto began his academic journey at Wagner College, where he earned a B.A. in Public Policy and Administration in 1998. He went on to study law at The John Marshall Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2006. Those years laid a practical foundation for a practice that would center on courtroom work and client representation.
He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2006 and is licensed to practice in both Illinois and New Jersey. Early in his career he joined the Illinois legal community through the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar, both of which list him as a current member. Professional memberships expanded to include the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association in 2011 and ABATE chapters in both Illinois and Iowa beginning in 2013. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, memberships he has held since 2014.
Manicioto’s career at Hupy and Abraham began in 2011 when he joined the firm as an associate lawyer. He moved through the firm’s ranks and attained shareholder status in 2019. Those years at the firm coincide with his involvement in trial work and courtroom litigation, and they shaped his approach to case preparation and advocacy. Colleagues describe him as a straightforward advocate who focuses on careful fact development and clear presentation in court.
His work has kept him rooted in Illinois. He regularly appears in state courts and manages matters that require detailed preparation. Membership in trial-focused organizations suggests regular courtroom involvement, and his long tenure at a single firm speaks to steady professional growth rather than frequent lateral moves.
Outside the courtroom he maintains connections to motorcycle rights groups through ABATE of Illinois and ABATE of Iowa. Those ties reflect an interest in issues that intersect with roadway safety and individual rights. He also participates in professional events and continuing education through local and state bar organizations.
Manicioto splits his time among the firm’s Illinois offices, including locations in Gurnee, Bloomington and Rockford. He is listed as a current member of the bar and remains active in professional associations. He currently practices from Hupy and Abraham’s Gurnee, Bloomington and Rockford offices. His practice centers on civil litigation and trial work.
