Vincent Erik Nelson is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Nelson is the principal attorney at the Law Office of Vincent E. Nelson, a firm located at 1001 Second Street, Suite 311, Napa, California. He has been practicing law for over 36 years, serving clients throughout Napa and other Northern California counties.
Mr. Nelson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the New College of California School of Law, graduating in 1989. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at San Francisco State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. During his time at New College of California, he worked for The San Francisco Community Law Collective, gaining practical experience in public interest law.
Mr. Nelson concentrates his practice in the areas of family law and personal injury. He represents individuals in matters involving divorce, legal separation, property division, child custody and support, spousal support, and collaborative resolution. In personal injury law, he handles cases such as automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, construction accidents, animal attacks, and premises liability claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Nelson has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Napa and other Northern California counties. He has also appeared before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked with the law firm of Larry Klein, Inc., gaining experience in family law and personal injury cases. He has been Vice President of the Napa County Bar Association and the Chair of the Napa County Bar Association Family Law Section.
Mr. Nelson is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Napa County Bar Association.
