About Victor

Victor Herrera took a measured path into law. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago in 1999 and earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law in 2005. Those years framed his legal training and set the stage for a steady career in California practice.

Herrera began his post-law school work at smaller firms and gradually moved into roles with greater responsibility. In 2016 he worked at Maline & McGee, where he handled matters typical of a mid-size practice. The following year he joined Swan Carpenter Wallis McKenzie, continuing to develop courtroom and client-handling skills while expanding his exposure to a broader docket.

His career took another turn in 2021 when he became a partner at Carmel & Naccasha LLP. The partner title marked a shift from associate and counsel roles into firm leadership and client-management responsibilities. At Carmel & Naccasha Herrera has taken on more supervisory duties, mentoring junior attorneys and helping shape case strategy.

Herrera is a member of the California bar and maintains professional ties across the state. Since 2013 he has been part of the California Conference of Bar Associations, participating in the statewide bar community. That involvement has kept him visible among peers and aware of developments in California law.

Colleagues describe him as straightforward and workmanlike. He favors clear briefs and direct arguments over ornate filings. His practice history shows a mix of litigation exposure and transactional work, reflecting the varied needs of clients in California courts and business affairs.

Outside of case files, Herrera has invested time in firm management and client relations. His move into partnership involved administrative and strategic responsibilities as much as legal ones. He has overseen matter staffing and contributed to internal policies on case intake and client communication.

He continues to practice in California and serves clients from the Carmel & Naccasha office. His current practice centers on matters brought in California courts and state regulatory arenas, where he handles both contested and negotiated resolutions.
