About Vicki
Vicki Anderson studied political science at the University of Minnesota before turning to law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in 1994 and later completed a J.D. at William Mitchell College of Law in 2002. Those academic years laid a practical foundation for a career that has moved between support roles and courtroom responsibilities.
Her early legal work was hands-on. In the mid-1990s she worked as a legal secretary and legal assistant at Ingber & Aronson, P.A. By 2001 she had joined Fredrikson & Byron as a paralegal in the firm’s immigration practice group. That period gave her exposure to the procedural side of immigration law and the day-to-day demands of client files.
Anderson moved into attorney roles in the mid-2000s and spent several years practicing in London. She served as an associate at Ferman Law in 2004, then joined Evans Wallace Solicitors in 2007. Later that same year she returned to Ferman Law as an associate lawyer in the firm’s London office, and in 2008 she was listed as a lawyer with Ferman Law, PLLC. Those positions expanded her experience with cross-border matters and the differences between U.K. and U.S. immigration procedures.
She has maintained professional ties in the United States as well. Anderson has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2005 and belongs to Minnesota Women Lawyers. Her membership history suggests steady engagement with professional networks that cover both national immigration practice and issues affecting women in the legal profession.
In 2022 Anderson established Vicki Anderson Immigration Law, LLC. Opening her own firm returned her to a U.S.-based practice and put her in charge of case selection and client strategy. The move followed nearly two decades of mixed practice roles that combined client service, procedural work, and international experience.
She is licensed to practice in Minnesota and continues to represent individuals and families in immigration matters. Her current practice concentrates on immigration work in Minnesota, handling family petitions, removal defense and naturalization matters.
