About Veronica A.
Veronica A. Procter trained in two different parts of the country. She earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Arizona in 2007 and completed her J.D. at the University of Montana School of Law in 2011. Those formative years placed her at the intersection of economic analysis and legal practice, a combination that informs how she approaches client matters.
She began her legal career immediately after law school. In 2011 she joined Matovich, Keller & Murphy, P.C. as an associate lawyer. There she handled a range of cases and developed practical courtroom experience. The work gave her responsibilities that included drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and appearing in hearings.
In 2014 she opened Procter Law, PLLC and took on the role of owner. Over the years she has maintained memberships in local and state bar organizations, including the Yellowstone Area Bar Association since 2011 and the Montana Trial Lawyers Association since 2012. Those affiliations have kept her connected to developments in trial practice and to colleagues across the state.
Procter is licensed to practice in Montana and is admitted to the Ninth Circuit. Her professional background combines trial practice and case management, and she has handled matters through pre-trial phases and into court when necessary. Clients and peers describe her as methodical and direct; she prepares for hearings and trials with careful attention to procedure and evidence rather than theatrical gestures.
Her office in Billings serves individuals and small businesses. She manages client matters personally and oversees case strategy from intake through resolution. That continuity allows her to tailor legal responses to the specifics of each matter. She continues to participate in regional bar activities and contributes to local legal discussions.
Procter remains in private practice at Procter Law, PLLC, representing clients in matters arising in Montana and in the Ninth Circuit and focusing her current work on litigation and trial matters.
