Vanessa Jean Cooksey is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Cooksey is a partner at Cooksey & Marenstein, LLP, a law firm located in Calabasas, California. Ms. Cooksey earned her Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law, where she graduated in 2003. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Arizona, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2000. During her time at UCLA, she was involved in various student organizations and participated in the school's clinical legal education program.

Ms. Cooksey concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning, and civil litigation. Ms. Cooksey is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Family Law. She is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Ms. Cooksey is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
